SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — MasterControl, a leading provider of quality and manufacturing software solutions for the life sciences industry, announced today during its annual Masters Summit customer conference that it has experienced continued and strong business momentum in 2026. Driven by increasing demand for AI-powered operational efficiency, the company added 90 new customers year to date, with a growing share adopting multiple products as they move to unify quality, manufacturing, and asset management on a single platform.

While the majority of new customers adopted MasterControl’s flagship Quality Excellence (Qx) platform, a growing number have been selecting Manufacturing Excellence (Mx) and Asset Excellence (Ax). In fact, 15 new customers adopted more than one MasterControl product, including Sonablate Corp, which deployed the full Qx, Mx, and Ax suite. New customers in 2026 include Alfresa Corporation, Amber Therapeutics, Bespak, Biotech Vision Care, Care Access, Cohance Lifesciences, Glatt Pharmaceutical Services, LSL Healthcare, Pharmavite, Revlon, and Vero Biotech. Additionally, MasterControl renewed its existing  contract with the FDA.

“Life sciences manufacturers are under more pressure than ever to move faster without compromising quality or compliance, and they’re telling us they can’t get there with disconnected systems,” said David Edwards, CEO of MasterControl. “The companies choosing MasterControl this year are making a platform decision. They’re connecting quality, manufacturing, and asset management so their data works together, and they’re putting purpose-built AI to work on the problems that slow them down. The growth we’re seeing in MES and Quality Event Management tells us the industry is ready for that shift, and we’re investing to lead it.”

Manufacturing Excellence Leads Growth

Annual recurring revenue (ARR) for MasterControl Manufacturing Excellence grew approximately 20% over the past 12 months,. Customers are increasingly pairing MES with QMS; 12 of this year’s 15 new manufacturing customers also adopted MasterControl quality solutions, reflecting demand for digital production records tightly connected to quality processes.

QEM Adoption Surges

In the past two years, MasterControl Quality Event Management (QEM) has been used to launch more than 250,000 quality events. More than 150,000 of those were launched in 2026 alone, representing more than 70% growth this year as customers modernize how they capture, investigate, and resolve deviations, CAPAs, and other quality events.

New AI Capabilities

MasterControl expanded its AI capabilities in 2026 with two new releases built on its ADAPT Platform, a secure AI platform developed in alignment with ISO 42001 standards. These advancements establish an important precedence of protected AI intellectual property for MasterControl, reflecting a broader strategy to turn three decades of deep life sciences domain experience into differentiated, enterprise-grade AI engineered specifically for regulated workflows.

In January, the company made SOP Analyzer generally available. The tool uses advanced language models and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to check standard operating procedures against regulatory requirements, flag compliance gaps, and suggest improvements, cutting SOP update cycles from days to hours.

In April, MasterControl launched Event Summarizer within Quality Event Management. It instantly generates concise summaries of in-progress deviations, CAPAs, and nonconformances, so reviewers and approvers can quickly understand an event’s context and act faster. Users stay in control and can review, edit, and refine each AI-generated summary. Together, these releases help quality teams spend less time on manual review and more time on the work that drives compliance and continuous improvement.

“From a regulatory standpoint alone, being able to have a nonconformance or quality event linked directly to a batch record is extremely helpful,” said Allison Gentile, Director of Pharmacy Services and Regulatory Affairs at Pine Pharmaceutical. “Everything is in one spot when our batch release team is preparing a drug to release.”
