WASHINGTON, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Rapidan Energy Group today announced that James McLennan has joined the firm as Senior Vice President for Business Development. McLennan will lead Rapidan’s continued growth across its energy market, policy, and geopolitical research and data services.

McLennan brings more than two decades of experience selling energy research and building commercial teams across U.S. and international markets. He has built trusted relationships with senior leaders at many of the world’s largest energy and financial institutions and has a track record of turning those relationships into sustained business results.

Before joining Rapidan, McLennan held senior leadership roles at IHS Markit and S&P Global. He spent 17 years at Wood Mackenzie, where he led global commercial teams serving the energy and financial services sectors. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Aberdeen before moving into investment banking at Deutsche Bank in London.
